Wow, google is basically giving invites to anyone who wants them. They gave me FIFTY. That's right, fifty. I have absolutely no idea why it hasn't been opened to the general public yet. Well, after a 6 month hiatus, I decided to start this gmail blog again. Don't be surprised if I use this blog to advertise my other sites ;-). So remember, tell your friends, enemies. Post on gmail swap, talk on im, post on any message board. Hopefully, once you get your invite, you'll start supplying me with invites to post. It's like a growing snowball!

I just decided to add a little incentive to let me post your invites on this site. I will give an orkut invite to anybody who sends me 5 invites, which is about a days worth. Orkut is another one of google's projects that's in beta, and is by invite only.

How to get gmail without being invited...

As you may have heard, Gmail accounts were initially offered to two people: 1) Google employees, and 2) active Bloggers. Since getting a job at google might require more effort than you are willing to give, I suggest get a blogger account. Its easy to set up, and you just have to make a couple phony posts to get invited to gmail. In fact, that's how I got my first invite. I used blogger to help me update a web site I do, the Polish Heritage Club of Madison, Wisconsin.

In other news, I've gotten my first volunteer to send me invites!

I know zip about my new gmail account, but I will learn! I got the
invite from your site and wish to thank you very much. My Yahoo! mail
had been overflowing for some time which was terribly frustrating. I
quit checking it because I could not keep up. Low and behold they have
increased it to 100mb in the last couple of days! I think gmail is

IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE EMAILING YOU AN INVITE, it has a chance of being deleted. You see, Hotmail and Yahoo are jealous of how awesome gmail is, so they "accidentaly" mark invites as spam. So if you're wondering just where that coveted invite is, check your spam box.

Ok, I'm hoping to build this site and offer more invites than just my own. So, if you have any extra invites, and are feeling charitable, send your invites to me at comrade009@gmail.com. I will not steal them. Be sure to put the first name as "Wonderbar" because I plan to create a filter to put all the invites I get under one big label. Ok, so I have to email accounts, one is comrade009@gmail.com, and one is lindsaylohan@gmail.com. I got an invite for using blogger, so i made comrade009 first. But then I invited myself, and I was thinking "What's a good celebrity I could impersonate?" I kept going down the list, and then bam, lindsay lohan pops up. So for the first week I got like 20 pieces of fanmail, but then it just stopped coming! I thought "Why don't people like me anymore?" lol. So know I just use it to automate the process of making invite links. Whatever, just a story.
